ship Eclipse where we will spend the next 5 nights and 4 days. Our first
excursion was on the islet of North Seymour. We were tendered from the
ship to a rocky shore and walked around this islet viewing birds and sea
lions. The animals paid no attention to us and we were often just a few
feet away from them. We weren't expecting the young animals, both baby
chicks and baby seals. The seals were still nursing.
The weather is warm, in the mid 70's and very pleasant. The ship is
comfortable but not luxurious. The food is surprisingly good. We are
water people so we are more at home here then we were in the mountains
of Peru.
